Department of Mechanical Engineering

The department of Mechanical Engineering. Anna University of Technology Tiruchirappalli is established as one the university with a view to impart high quality technical education. The Department offers B.E. programme in Mechanical Engineering M.E. programme in Thermal Engineering. The Department also offers B.E. programme in Mechanical Engineering under Part Time mode.

The Department is equipped with full-fledged laboratory facilities like design, drawing and part modeling lab. The Department has recently established Dynamics lab, Manufacturing Technology lab, Metrology and Measurements lab and a Computerized IC engine Test rig.

An interactive relationship is maintained between the students and staff which enable the students to develop a sound foundation in the stream of Mechanical Engineering in a conducive ambience. The department has an excellent industrial interaction and contributes to the industry by offering consultancy services.
