Anna university of technology, Tiruchirappalli (AUTT) has established its campus (AUTT-PC) at Panruti in 2009 to enrich and educate the students from Rural Background. The Electrical Engineering Department was one of the few Departments with which AUTT-Panruti Campus was started in 2009. It is currently the largest multidisciplinary Department at AUTT-Panruti Campus and covers practically all sub-disciplines under Electrical Power and Electronics. The department currently offers a UG program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department also provides Research Guidance for MS and Ph.D. The purpose of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is to provide professional training, and at the same time to participate actively in applied and theoretical research. The Department strives to instill in students the attitudes, values, vision and training that will prepare them for lifetimes of continued learning and leadership, to develop the ability and passion to work wisely, creatively, and effectively for the benefit of society. The Department has a number of facilities with a substantial collection of instruments and equipments for instruction and research in different areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The Department has been constantly modernizing the infrastructure and laboratory facilities. The Department is endowed with well equipped laboratories in several of the areas listed below. The available laboratories and facilities include: Basic Electrical Science, Basic Electronics, Electric Circuits, Control Systems Electrical Machines and Instrumentation.
