The future of computing rest here.the departments mission is to advance,evolve and enhance computer science and engineering fundamentals to bulid the intellectual capital of the society.The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of College Engineering Panruti, Panruti Campus was established in the year 2008 with a view to render services to the student community to meet the growing global challenges. The Department offers a B.E programme in Computer Science and Engineering
The Department is well equipped with new hardware and software laboratories with Internet and WI-FI connectivity (28 Mbps leased line with OFC connectivity). Special seminars covering latest developments and trends in the field of Computer Science have been conducted in a well equipped hall. The equipments cover Over Head Projector, LCD Projector, and a Public Addressing System.
The Department will expand its crucial role within the academic and intellectual development strategy of the University. The Department will be noted for its commitment to applied research, current technological expertise, relevant service to the community and geographic region, and innovative classroom practices and offering courses that will enhance the intellectual capacity and career opportunities for our U.G students, and will provide essential computer literacy skills for other disciplinary
Students.
The department has 14 well-qualified and experienced faculty who excel in their chosen field. Our faculty regularly publish their research work in reputed international,national journals and attend and organize various international conference. It also expand its crucial role within the academic and intellectual development strategy of the university. The department will be noted for its commitment to appied research,current technological exputise,relevant service and career opportunities for our students. Students are sent on industrails visits to companies and they also undergo in-plant training at foreign industries as well. Our students have obtained successful placements at leading companies like infosys,wipro,cognizant,TCS etc.Some of the alumni are successful entrepreneurs abroad.Earth day network loves planting trees and especially loves planting trees with our students.Planting trees connects students with nature and shows them that their hardwork makes a diffference in the world. On APJ memoral day celebration at our adopted school in panruti and spent time with the kids talking about luxcury of freedom. Later we distributed lunch to the kids.
