DEPARTMENT OF LIBRARY

 

The UCEP Library was established in the year 2008 and shifted to the new building in 2013.The building is used to accommodate  sections  such as Circulation, Periodical, Collection and Development section, Stack area, Reference, Project area, Back volume the library for its users.10793 books are available in our College Library. The mode of access is open access.

LIBRARY HOURS

Working Hours     - 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

Circulation            - 9.30 am to 4.30 pm

Closed Reference  - 9.30 am to 4.30 pm

LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Perfect silence should be maintained in the library.
2. Library is open to students from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on all days of the week except on Saturdays , Sundays and government holidays.
3. Books will be issued only on submission of their own library card or student Id card.
4. Library books should be handled with care. Students shall not write or make any mark on books, Journals and Newspapers belonging to the library.
5. If a library book is damaged or lost the concern student/staff is only responsible for that and should replace it with a new copy.
6. No one is allowed to sub lend the books.

7.Students  should check the books while borrowing and report to the librarian if any damages found there in. Otherwise the concerned students will be responsible for any damage  if found, while returning the books.

8. Books lending period is only 14 days and it is permitted to renew the books for further two times.
9. If the book is not returned on or before the due date, a fine amount on daily basis will be levied including holidays.
10. Reference books, Back volumes, Projects, Magazines and Journals cannot be lent.
11. Using of mobile phone inside the library is strictly prohibited.
12. Personal books are not allowed inside the library ,whatever may be the purpose.

MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES

1.Competitive  exam  books, Magazines, Employment news, Employment service and Newspapers are available in our college library for usage of students and staff.

2. To motivate the students to make the efficient use of the library and its services, the “Best Library User Award” has been started from 2014-2015.
3. Two students are selected one from the boys and one from the girls ,on the basis of the statistical data, accession of books, reading aptitude of the student, utilization of other library resourses.
4. Every year this award is conferred on the occasion of UCEP,Annual day.
5. The racks for keeping books and furniture are purchased and arranged in a proper manner.
